During the Thanksgiving service, Nwokedi explained that for the past 20 years on every last Sunday of November, he usually goes to Church for Thanksgiving, to show gratitude to God, thanking Him for what He has done in his life by lifting him from nowhere to the level that he holds the position of a king.
Eze Nwokedi explained that the beginning was tough but it was only by the grace of God that he was able to reach the level of becoming a landlord with many houses, becoming a king among other accomplishments.
He revealed that the secret of his success had been trust in God and kindness to humanity, stating that he has no limitations in giving and that has been his covenant with God. He explained that through the Thanksgiving every year, he use it to appreciate God and thank Him for protecting his family and kingdom and as well ask for grace to lead Ndigbo with wisdom.
During the Thanksgiving service at the church founded by his amiable wife, Pastor Tessy Chika Nwokedi, he stated that he will continue to appreciate God and has the passion to give and will continue to give until he dies.
Eze Chika Nwokedi advised the congregation to imbibe the spirit of Thanksgiving to God as he preached the advantages of thanksgiving, noting that it is better to give thanks while alive than allow strangers to hold a thanksgiving service at a person’s demise.
“The act of thanksgiving spurs God to do more” he said.
Eze Chika noted that the act of magnanimity he displays is inborn and considered a mere act done willingly to achieve fulfillment of purpose. He encouraged the listening congregation to be steadfast in thanksgiving; positing that nobody on earth can be considered perfect, but must appreciate God in any given situation, whether it’s good or bad.
The wife, Pastor Tessy Nwokedi, commended Eze Nwokedi for his support to the church and prayed that God should continue to give him good health and long life.
Speaking at the occasion, the Igbo Speaking community Youth Chairman, Chief Okechukwu Uzuegbunam, commended Eze Nwokedi for setting a standard of leadership in every ramifications and urged Ndigbo to emulate him.
He noted that he has been attending Eze Nwokedi’s annual Thanksgiving over the years and he has been doing it with humility and meticulously to appreciate God and God answers his prayers.
