On his arrival at the event, Eze Nwokedi sighted the children who came with their parents. In his usual nature, he displayed his love for children and shared the huge money he had with him to the children before he sat down for the event.
He used the occasion to advise Ndigbo to live in peace and harmony among themselves and eschew any form of trouble with the host community in any area they reside.

The Chairman of the association, Chief Iloh, explained that the group was formed to bring Ndigbo living in the area together in order to be united and speak with one voice for the progress of the members.
He advised Ndigbo living in the area who have not joined them to do so because the group was formed for the welfare of the members especially in times of need.
The climax of the event was the display of Igbo cultural music and dance including awards presentation to Ndigbo who have distinguished themselves in various aspects of life.
