The road may be rough, the journey may be tough and the experience may be bitter, but they are stepping stones to the ascendancy of the traditional stool and throne of the most  revered Uburu Ancient Kingdom;  being the first son of Abba Nwauruogu by order of seniority.

As a true Nwauruogu (warrior), you waged the war from all fronts, gallantly surmounted the challenges and was eventually  selected by crème of Abba  leaders and critical stakeholders across the four villages in the community for presentation at Nwangele Local Government Council under the Chairmanship of Hon. Chizobam O. Chizobam, as Eze-elect of Abba Autonomous Community and subsequently,  the crowned and coronated traditional ruler to lead a rather  heterogeneous community;  peopled by intellectuals, the political and business class,  opinion moulders, elder statesmen, bridge builders and a number of war strategists. Abba women and the youths are also not left out in the roll call of the avalanche of your beloved subjects, who have dispassionately demonstrated unalloyed support and solidarity to your traditional stool and leadership amid a few voices, who earlier stood against your emergence like the wall of Jericho.

To this group of people, one is sure that through fatherly love,  unwavering faith in God, avowed commitment to serve ndi Abba and practical steps for genuine peace talk and reconciliation,  frayed nerves shall be calmed as they honestly come to terms beyond parochial and primordial sentiments to see why all should join hands together to move the community forward as Eze Ndubueze Maduabuchukwu had  promised an all inclusive  leadership during his coronation.

In the light of above, it was at a  watershed and epoch making  event that a galaxy of Nwangele traditional rulers then led by His Royal Highness, Eze Ndubueze Godwin Ejiogu (Eze Kara of Umunakara), unanimously  inducted His Royal Highness, Eze Ndubueze Maduabuchukwu (Uburu ll of Abba), on Sunday 28th June, 2020, into the royal circle of Nwangele Council of Ndi Eze, having religiously gone through the established processes and rigorous exercises of being a traditional ruler with the support and mandate of his subjects:  certified by the Imo State Government, issued a letter of recognition, certificate of recognition, staff of office and found worthy by the good people  of Abba Autonomous Community  before he was colourfully decorated and coronated by the oldest man in Abba, Elder  Odumodu Duru (Chief Kpokiri-Kpo in posthumous),  in a royal regale amid commendations and litany  of congratulatory messages by men and women of goodwill.

Today, with a heart full of joy, the Maduabuchukwu dynasty of Umuduruagwu village in Abba, the entire Abba Autonomous Community and her leadership are rolling the drums in celebration of their son, leader  and monarch, His Royal Highness, Eze Ndubueze Maduabuchukwu,  as he marks his successful 2nd year anniversary on the throne  of his forefathers as Uburu ll of Abba, on Thursday,  May 29,  2021.

Watch video of Eze Ndubueze Maduabuchukwu’s induction in Nwangele Council of Traditional Rulers:

Born into the family of late Chief|Lolo Peter Maduabuchukwu; a successful businessman during his days, and one of the founding fathers of the old Abba.ND, as he is fondly called by his peers and close friends, before his royal enthronement as a traditional ruler, was a frontline political leader in Nwangele LGA; a respected community leader and opinion moulder, who used his wealth of experience, position as then President General of old Abba and relative contacts in Government to attract people -oriented based projects to his community.

The young Ndubueze Maduabuchukwu’s strong affinity for good education resulted in his traveling abroad for further studies. An academic sojourn in which he obtained double -honors (first and Master’s degrees) in Biological Science and Microbiology respectively, from the world’s famous University of Maldrid, Spain.

At the business front before his retirement to serve his people as a royal father, Eze Ndubueze Maduabuchukwu was the Group Managing Director|Chairman of Santa Seed Nig. Ltd; an indigenous industrial equipment leasing firm in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where the company’s performance index and rich profile attracted the patronage and business engagement of both multi- national and private owned oil companies.

Love him or hate him for his demeanor, outspokenness and fearless disposition, Eze Ndubueze Maduabuchukwu is one honest and pragmatic leader, who lives true to his social  idiosyncrasies, convictions and ideology as his independent opinions and contributions are embedded with wisdom just as they sound like a thunderbolt and strong like the Rock of Gibraltar.

He remains, arguably, the most powerful President General of the old Abba, where he served for 8 solid years walking hand-in-glove with the late Eze Ahurukwe of Abba, His Royal Highness Eze Madukwem Emmanuel Unaka – Uburu l of Abba), while sharing ideas with the leaders and elders  of the old Abba, the late His Royal Highness, Eze (Justice)  G.G. I. Ojiako (CJ, Rtd), His Royal Highness, Eze Timothy Uzoka (Ekiti l of Ekitiafor Abba ), Chief Emmanuel Akwiwu, Chief (Engr.) Ike Ozigbu, Chief Surv. Bath Uzomah, Chief Edwin Ekwueme, Chief Sabestine Onuoha, Chief Fabian Ekwueme, all of blessed memory.

However, as the then PG of Abba Development Union (ADU), Chief ND nay Eze Ndubueze Maduabuchukwu was deeply involved in the community conflict resolution, peace talk , consultations, town hall meetings and execution of projects which was geared toward improved  community service delivery and development.

The traditional stool of Abba Autonomous Community under Eze Ndubueze Maduabuchukwu, is no doubt, a repository of wisdom, love for fatherland, knowledge about the customs  and traditions of the people, understanding of Igbo social anthropology; strength of character, charisma, integrity,  allegiance to his oath to serve  Abba and and in defence of her common good.

Since the Igbo nation from the South East believes that ‘Chineme Eze’, meaning that God ordains a King. And leadership virtues also a destiny from God, Eze Ndubueze Maduabuchukwu even before his royal enthronement had been destined by God and projected by majority of honest men and women in Abba as a befitting traditional ruler and better replacement for the late monarch, Eze Madukwem Emmanuel Unaka; given his track record as a bridge builder, true progressive and developmental  -driven community leader, most qualified by all standard for the throne of his forefathers.

Remarkably enough, within his two years stint on the throne as Uburu ll of Abba, the community has recorded some milestones in the area of development as the roads were tarred by High Chief Johnbosco Ozigbu, construction and commission of boreholes at Ndiikpa village, renovation of town halls and the ongoing construction of Nkwo-Ebu market by the House member representing Nwangele Constituency at the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Amara Iwuanyanwu.

It is therefore, not surprising to see ndi Eze Nwangele, the leadership of Abba Ama-Ano, the youths, men and women of goodwill identify with him at this auspicious time of his two years anniversary on the throne of his forefathers.

Married to Ugoeze Paulyne Ngozi Maduabuchukwu, the marriage is blessed with many children, who are successful in their respective fields of endeavour.
Congratulations, His Royal Highness!May you reign in peace, with wisdom and in good health of mind and body!

Long live, Eze Ndubueze Maduabuchukwu!
Long live Abba Ancient Kingdom!
Long live, Nwangele LGA !!!
Long live, Imo State Government !!!!
