The Ezendigbo in Ojo Central Local Government Area of Lagos State, Eze Tochukwu Anosike, has advised Ndieze to submit themselves and work with the Board of Trustees of Igbo Speaking Community in order to restore lasting  peace in the community in the State.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Eze Anosike, who is the custodian of Igbo culture and tradition in Ojo, Oto Awori and Iba LCDA, made the call at his palace at the weekend over the lingering crisis in the Igbo Speaking community over the years.

He noted that the crisis in the Igbo Speaking Community has seriously affected the unity and progress of Ndigbo and the host community has been using the crisis to disrespect Ndieze in the State.

Eze Anosike explained that the BOT is the custodian of Igbo Speaking Community and there is no way Ndieze will ignore the BOT because it is the board that is recognized by the CAC as owners of the community.

He therefore, called on Ndieze within Chief Sunday Udeh and Chief Sunday Eze factions to come together and go to the BOT for ratification and recognition, noting that any Eze or members of Igbo Speaking Community who did not recognize the BOT is bound to fail.

Eze Anosike commended the ongoing peace process in the Igbo Speaking Community and enjoined every member of the community including Ndieze to embrace peace for the interest of Ndigbo in Lagos State.

“It is time to make sacrifices, let the two factions of Ndieze crowned by Chief Sunday Udeh and Chief Sunday Eze come together and reconcile with the BOT for proper identification to ensure that peace is finally restored in Igbo Speaking Community in Lagos State.”

“If any group of Ndieze say they can do without the BOT, it will fail because they are the owners of Igbo Speaking Community and the BOT must recognize you as an Eze for the Eze to function properly in the State.”

He noted that Dr Jonathan Nnaji is the Chairman of the BOT and Chief Sunday Udeh is the president now that Chief  Sunday Eze has stepped down for Udeh based on the consent Court judgment.

However, he noted that there is another group agitating that Chief Eze was not part of the judgement because he had resigned and conducted an election for his own faction, which needs to be carefully addressed to restore sanity in the Igbo Speaking community.

Eze Anosike also advised Ndigbo to eschew bitterness, rancor and cooperate among themselves for them to have peace so that the host community will take them seriously and respect their opinions.

He explained that if there is peace and unity among Ndigbo, the Lagos State Government will recognize and listen to Ndigbo and Ndieze will also be recognized by the Government in Lagos State.
