Foremost Igbo traditional leader and Ezendigbo Gburugburu Southwest, Eze Tochukwu Anosike, has appointed Eze Dr John Nwosu as his spokesman.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the appointment comes after Eze Anosike’s crowning by the Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akeem Owoade, making him the leader of Ndieze in Southwest, overseeing Ndigbo affairs in the region.
As Ezendigbo Gburugburu, Eze Anosike has greater responsibility to unite and restore peace among Ndieze and Ndigbo in the Southwest and so he needs capable hands for the job ahead.
By the appointment, Eze Nwosu as spokesman, is expected to represent Eze Anosike in public forums, communicate official messages and positions, address media inquiries, communicate initiatives and activities and equally speak on behalf of the Ezendigbo Gburugburu Southwest leadership.
Eze Amb. Nwosu has already accepted the appointment and has since commenced work as the spokesman of Ezendigbo Gburugburu Southwest.
Eze John Nwosu is a businessman and hails from Utuh town in Anambra State.
He has received numerous humanitarian awards and chieftaincy titles before the Igbo Speaking Community and Ohanaeze Ndigbo crowned him Ezendigbo in Mushin, Lagos.
Among his other titles include, Eze kwesiri Eze, Asiwaju Ndigbo of Mushin, Mayor of Ladipo Market, Ohamadike of Utuh, Ikechukwu kwadolu Ndigbo na Iduu Eri kingdom.
Presently, Eze Dr John Chukwudi Nwosu is the General Secretary, Council of Ndieze Igbo Lagos State.
