All roads lead to Campos Mini Stadium, Lagos on Wednesday as Rivers Football Club of Alimosho clash with Greater Tomorrow Football Club of Isolo in the final of U-15 Aare Bash Fakorede Football Championship which started a month ago.
The tourney is sponsored by Chairman Bash Distinct Oil, Aare Bash Fakorede. P.M. EXPRESS reports that both teams are fully ready to display their football artistry in the presence of their fans.
Fakorede said sponsoring the tourney is borne out of passion he has for the round leather game, and urged the finalists to play the game according the rules and regulations.
“This is the fourth edition of the tournament and I am very grateful today that the tournament is waxing stronger each year. I congratulate the finalists for reaching this crucial final, and I urge the two teams to shun any vice that can tarnish the image of the competition during and after the game,” he said.
Fakorede who would clock 50 years on Wednesday said this year’s final would be colourful and entertaining, saying that the winners of the tournament would go home with a lot of cash prizes and gift items.
According to him, the winners would go home with a giant trophy and the sum of N500,000, while the first runners up and third position receive N300,000 and N2000,000 respectively, while fourth place position would pocket N100,000.
Match coordinator, Taofeek Ajibola expressed gratitude to the cup donor and promised that the closing ceremony would be successfully organized.
