The Famous Grouse, premium Scottish whisky,  made its mark in Nigeria with the launch of its new bottle as well as the roll out of the brands global campaign, “Famous For a Reason.”

The launch, held Saturday, 15 October at an exclusive all-white event at the Federal Palace Hotel Gardens, VI, Lagos, had in attendance some of the top names in the media and entertainment industry come out to celebrate one of the worlds leading spirit brands.

The event was also to celebrate famous people from different works of life including music, media, movies, sports, fashion, technology, government as well as everyday heroes who make an impact in the society.

Speaking on the launch of the brand, General Manager, Abayomi Ajao commented, “We are excited about the launch of the Famous Grouse in Nigeria. The brand has embarked on an exciting journey to not only celebrate its new packaging and premium design, but to also celebrate the people who are famous in their own rights and have made a difference in our community.“

He continued, “You don’t have to be the biggest name in the society to be celebrated. If you focus on doing what you do well… fame will find you. You will become famous for a reason. Our brand history is central to this idea and it allows us to celebrate all the things that make the Famous grouse “Famous”… A new journey has just begun for us and the fame is only growing stronger.”

The all white event was hosted by On Air Personality Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi and featured performances from alternative artistes, Aramide, Sir Dauda, Yomi Sax and superstar DJ Xclusive.

Produced in the 1800s by Mathew Gloag, the Famous Grouse has built on its roots and heritage, moving towards a more modern and premium expression.

The brand, which is known as a whisky of the finest quality and incomparable smoothness now comes in an elongated capsule with a proud stylized icon crown and an elegant curved shoulder, inspired by the Grouse’ unique eyebrow.

Famous Grouse is presently distributed in over 100 countries and over 43 million bottles sold every year.

The essence of the brands whisky which makes The Famous Grouse of purest quality is broken into four key fundamentals; Foundation, Finest, Flavour and Fusion.
