The Police in Lagos have arrested a man, Michael Abraham, for allegedly conspiring with his friend, Sylvester Dike, to engage his 12-year old daughter in sex romp.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at 12 Godmon Street, Okota area of Lagos, where they reside.
The suspects have been charged before the Ebute Metta Chief Magistrates Court and remanded in prison custody at Ikoyi, Lagos, for allegedly defiling his 12-year-old daughter.
The defendants were charged on three counts of conspiracy, unlawful sexual assault and defilement. However, they pleaded not guilty.
Mrs. Adeola Adedayo, the Chief Magistrate, ordered the remand of the defendants at the Nigerian Correctional Service in Ikoyi, Lagos, pending when the matter would be filed at the Sexual and Special Offences Court, Ikeja.
She then adjourned the case till October 9, 2019, for mention.
Inspector Chinalu Uwadione, the Prosecution Counsel, however told the Magistrate Court that both defendants committed the unlawful offence between December, 2018 and September 9, 2019, at No. 13, Godmon Street, Okota, Lagos.
The prosecutor alleged that Mr. Abraham defiled the victim and also invited his friend, Sylvester, to take part in the illicit act.
It was gathered that the victim reported the trauma to social workers, who took her to the Police at Zone D, on how she was molested by Sylvester. In the process, she also mentioned to the Police that her own father had raped her before he invited his friend, Sylvester, who also raped her.
Thus, the Police arrested her father and charged both of them before the Court for the offence which attracts several years of imprisonment if they are tried and convicted by the Court.
