Fathers’ Day: Ekwunife Hails Fathers As Pillars Of The Society, Pours Encomium On Beloved Husband

The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, has joined men and women of goodwill to felicitate with the Nigerian Catholic Men Organisation on the special occasion of this year’s Father’s Day celebration.

The Federal lawmaker described fathers as the pillars of the society, saying that the father’s day is a day to appreciate God for the gift of fatherhood.

Ekwunife, who made this known in a special note in commemoration of the Fathering Sunday celebration, appreciated God Almighty for the gift of fatherhood and lauded the special roles played by fathers in their respective families and society at large. She reiterated that the importance and value of fatherhood in the family remains priceless.

The A-grade lawmaker, while acknowledging the enormous sacrifices and contributions of fathers in the family and to the lives of their children, enjoined them to always exhibit qualities of sacrificial leaders, guidances and providers for their wives and children.

Ekwunife further poured glowing encomium on her beloved husband, Chief Larry Ekwunife (Ozo Okutaoluoibe) for his unending love, wisdom and being a guiding hand in the family. She noted that Chief Ekwunife has continued to still the storms in the family through uncommon wisdom.

The quintessential lawmaker pledged her undying loyalty to Chief Ekwunife whom she dubbed as the husband of her youth, adding that behind every successful wife in any career there is always a supportive, encouraging, tolerant and understanding husband who makes it possible.

According to the senator, “I celebrate my beloved husband for his unflinching love and fatherly role he has been playing in the life of our children and family, he is a great mentor and I will continue to love him all the days of my life.”

The Chairman Senate Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation on behalf of her family and the good people of Anambra Central Senatorial District wished all Catholic fathers a wonderful celebration and prayed God to give them the strength, boundless mercy and earthly blessings as they continue to provide for their families.
