Fire fighters battling the inferno

There was an outbreak of fire at Rida Plastic Industry factory located along Oshodi-Apapa Expressway in Lagos Sunday morning with properties worth millions of naira reportedly destroyed.

The cause of the fire was not yet ascertained as there was no official response from the company’s management.

Fire fighters from the Lagos State Fire Service, LASEMA Response Unit Fire Fighters, Julius Berger Fire Fighters, Chivita Fire Fighters, NEMA, LASTMA, Military Personnel from Ikeja Cantonment were on ground battling to quench the raging inferno.

As at the time of filing this report, the fire had not been contained. However,  fire fighting men have curtailed it from spreading to the neighbouring military Cantonment and other factories around the area.
