Here are five quick fact about the proposed Lagos’ 4th Mainland Bridge.

1. The 4th mainland bridge is expected to be the longest in Africa at 38 Kilometres surpassing the 20.5km ‘6th October Bridge’ of Egypt (Lagos only compete with other Nations) and more than three times the length of 3rd Mainland Bridge.

The legacy bridge shall features 3 toll plazas, 9 interchanges, 4.5km lagoon bridge and an eco friendly environment amongst other premium extras.

2. The project will be a PPP financed initiative between the pride of the Nation, Lagos State government and some reputable private companies.

3. It will achieve its major aim of connecting Lagos Island by way of Langbasa (Lekki) and Baiyeku (Ikorodu) across the Lagos Lagoon to Itamaga, in Ikorodu.

4. The construction will start by April this year. It will cost an estimated $2.5 billion.

5. The idea was conceptualized by the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while in office as Lagos State Governor. Great minds birth Ideas
