FERDINAND EKEOMA

A UK based body, Abia Restoration Group, ARG, has donated dozens of branded T Shirts bearing the pictures of a renowned economist Dr. Alex Otti OFR and the yet to be completed Osisioma Flyover with the inscription “Flyover Gbasara Anyi”.

The group disclosed that it made the donation as a way of appreciating Dr. Otti for his press release and other interventions which have holistically aligned with their position and those of other millions of Abians who felt embarrassed by the recent interview granted by the governor, and encouraged him to use his influence and reach to ensure that the T Shirts get to as many Abians as possible as a way of reminding them that indeed, they have the right to ask questions on the status of every project in Abia, including the Osisioma Flyover.

The group stated that it would no longer stand idly by and watch the state being ridiculed by the government through its wrong policies, programs and utterances which have continuously presented the state and the people in bad light.

Receiving the T Shirts, the ex Bank Chief thanked the group for taking interest in what is happening in Abia, even though they live thousands of miles away from the state, and disclosed that it was his duty and that of other illustrious sons and daughters of Abia to challenge and possibly stop every action and policy that could endanger the economic development and wellbeing of Abia and Abians by speaking out as well as taking measures that could serve the interest of the masses.

He encouraged the group to remain courageous in its effort geared towards demanding for responsible leadership in Abia, and reminded them that the Abia situation has become an albatross and national embarrassment that must be faught and defeated for the good of all.

The inscription on the T Shirt which reads “Flyover Gbasara Anyi” seeks to remind Governor Ikpeazu that Abians reserve the right to ask questions about the Flyover and other projects that have suffered unnecessary delays and abandonment despite huge funds already spent on them.
