The Nigeria sport community are in a celebration mood and they have rolled out the drums, clinking the wine glasses, singing and dancing in praises to God for His mercies upon the life of this great Nigerian, High Chief Donatus Agu-Ejidike, JP, on the occasion of his 64th birthday.

A man of many interesting parts, High Chief Donatus Agu-Ejidike, who was installed as Nigeria’s Pillar Of Sports, by the national leadership of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), several years ago, has no doubt, proven to be a genuine fit for the enviable position.

As a patriot, philanthropist and selfless humanitarian per excellence, he has continued to contribute to the development of Nigeria in countless socio-economic projects, ostensibly, for the development of Nigeria youths and the society at large.

It is not a surprise, therefore, that elite stakeholders are jostling to shower deserving ecomiums on the Nnewi, Anambra State born successful businessman and multiple awards winning philanthropist.

Friends of Nigeria Sports, a group of journalists, stakeholders and sport enthusiasts in its congratulatory message describes Ejidike, as a kind-hearted Nigerian, who has unrepentant passion for the development of Nigerian youths, using sports as a tool. FNS prayed that God grants him more fruitful and healthy life.
President of Nigeria Basketball Federation Engr. Ahmadu Musa Kida, on his own thanked God for granting Ejidike, another year to his life, while praying that God continue to bless and protect him for the benefits of Nigerian sports and humanity in general.

On his part, national chairman of Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Ambassador (Rev). Samuel Ikpea, was effusive in praises and prayers for the Nigeria Pillar Of Sports, who is also a patron of the NFSC.

” We are grateful to God for His kindness and mercies upon the life of High Chief Donatus Agu-Ejidike. This man is a great and detribalised Nigerian, who must be celebrated at all times.

“Therefore, on behalf of all members of the NFSC, home and diaspora, I pray that God continue to guide, guard and bless our patron, High Chief Donatus Agu-Ejidike, now and always. We wish him a most pleasant 64th birthday celebration,” Ikpea prayed.
