A state league team, Bucknor Football Club of Isheri-Idimu will face the defending champions, Sansan Boys in the semi final of the ongoing Football Fiesta Tournament.
Bucknor and Sansan Boys would be in action on Thursday evening (4pm) at the Sansan football pitch,Igando, Alimosho, Lagos.
The semi final match is a repeat of last year’s final when Sansan Boys defeated Bucknor 2-1.
Alhough defending champions may not be in their best form this time around but they are not going to give up when they meet Bucknor that have not lost a single match enroute to their semi final comes Thursday.
The match may draw thousand of spectators from various part of Alimosho as football fans are looking forward to the epic semi-final game.
Speaking ahead of the pulsating tie, Sansan Boys coach,Tope Obayemi admitted that their game against Bucknor would be tough but remained optimistic that his boys would come out victorious.
“Thursday match is a repeat of last year’s final between both of us and I think it is going to be a tight match.I must confess to you that we are not afraid of Bucknor and we are ready to give them a run for their money,”he said.
In the second semi final scheduled for Wednesday, Mbah Logistics tackle Casamigoo Sport by 4pm.
The match between Mbah Logistics and Casamigoo Sport is another match to watch as both teams have not lost a single till this stage.
Match coordinator, Habeeb Bello admonished the fans to shun violence during and after the semi final matches saying that the organisers would do everything to give their best throughout the semi finals.
