In the wake of yesterday’s Presidential intervention aimed at resolving the political crisis in Rivers State, respected sociocultural group, Orashi National Congress, ONC, has extended a compelling call to all political stakeholders to embrace the path of peace and abide by the resolutions reached.

Reacting to the resolutions on behalf of the ONC, Comrade Emeni Ibe, the esteemed President General of the Orashi National Congress and National President of the Southern Youth Foundation, urged all parties involved to wholeheartedly embrace this diplomatic solution for the greater good of Rivers State.

“We, the avowed members of the Orashi National Congress, use this opportunity to appreciate His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his fatherly intervention in the Rivers State crisis. The pivotal role played by Mr. President, in mediating in the conflict, is a crucial step towards fostering peace and stability within the state.”

Despite any prior differences or stances taken, the ONC urged all parties involved to prioritize the collective interest of Rivers State above all other considerations. The group emphasized the paramount importance of unity and harmony, advocating for a peaceful environment that transcends individual or factional interests.

“At Orashi National Congress, we emphatically state the imperative nature of peace as a catalyst for attracting investments and spurring socio-economic development, and the urgent necessity for tranquility within Rivers State.”
“We hereby emphasize the critical need for adherence to the Presidential resolution in order to promote peace as the linchpin for progress and prosperity in Rivers State. We stand united in our call for tranquility across the political landscape, while urging all stakeholders to come together in the pursuit of a peaceful and prosperous Rivers State.”
