Foreign Ambassadors Storm Osogbo For Agritech Nigeria Osun 2019 Agric Show

From Tuesday to Thursday this week (26-28 March), the capital city of the State of Osun, Osogbo will witness influx of high profile dignitaries who are coming to attend the maiden and first-ever international agricultural exhibition and conference tagged Agritech Nigeria Osun 2019.

Organised by Fesco Agalu Nigeria Limited, a privately owned Nigerian company, with facilitating support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Agritech Nigeria Osun 2019 will hold at the Aurora International Conference Centre, Ring Road, Osogbo

The organisers of the agricultural trade fair told P,M. EXPRESS on Monday that Ambassadors of Brazil, Venezuela, Cuba, Kenya, Cote d’Ivoire, Burundi, Republic of Benin,  representatives of Israeli Embassy and the United Nations are currently in Osogbo ahead of the opening ceremony of the agricultural trade fair which holds on Tuesday at the Aurora International Conference Centre, Ring Road, Osogbo..

The three days event will featured Diplomatic/Economic Forum, while a good number of agencies of the Federal Government which are agricultural and agro allied specialised will also hold sessions on different challenges facing agriculture in Nigeria and proffer solutions.

With the support from State of Osun All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) headed by Alhaji Suleiman Araokanmi, it is expected that there will be a beehive of activities at the venue with thousands of farmers and other stakeholders in attendance.

Speaking on behalf of the organisers, Director of Logistics, Mrs Adetomilola Olufunmilayo Osonde said that they are ready as every arrangement has been concluded for a hitch free trade fair, which has been commended by many diplomats as timely event that will add values to the diversification policy of the Government of Muhammadu Buhari and more importantly economic development of the government of Mr. Oyetola.

“We have been working round the clock to ensure that our guests coming from all over the country have a good stay in Osogbo. This will be the first time in Nigeria when a good number of foreign Ambassadors will converge in a state for three days to attend an event. We know the important of this event, the multiplier effects this will have on the image of the state, image of the government and the expected gains of interactions with these diplomats will have on the economic development of the State of Osun.

“Some exhibitors will be coming from outside the country to participate in the Agritech event,” she said.
