Al Ahly of Egypt player, Junior Ajayi and some other foreign-based players are already in Lagos in preparation for a friendly match between Diaspora Lions and Home-Based Lions scheduled for Friday at FIFA legacy pitch of National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
The one-day friendly match would start in the morning of Friday.
The friendly match was packaged by the chairman of 36 Lion Football Club, Liameed Gafar in order to bring the club home-based players and foreign-based players together as well as to foster unity and friendliness among the players who are members of 36 Lion family.
Other foreign players expected in the friendly match are Samson Akinyoola who is playing in Caracas FC of Venezuela, Oto John is plying his trade with FC Prishtina of Kosovo, Yusuf Lawal is also playing in Nefci of Azerbaijan, Collins Sor plays for Banik Ostrava of Czech Republic, Sunusi Ibrahim plays for Club De Foot of Montreal of Canada and Ishola Olaitan is currently playing for Ayema FC of the Benin Republic and host of others.
Aside from the friendly match, the event would witness award ceremony such as The Diaspora Lion of The Year, Lions Ball Juggler of The Year and Lions Accurate Kicker of The Year
Gafar said the event would be more glamorous and colourful one urged the football fans to desist from vices that may disrupt during and after the event.
