Former Buruj Football Club defender, Malobi Ebubechukwu David, has arrived in Albania to begin the next chapter of his professional career with FK Naftëtari.
The talented Nigerian defender touched down in Albania today and is expected to complete final formalities before linking up with his new teammates ahead of the new season.
FK Naftëtari currently competes in Albania’s Kategoria e Dytë, the country’s third-tier league.
Malobi’s move is the latest in a growing list of young players developed by Buruj Football Club and Sports Academy who have secured opportunities in Europe.
The academy has built a reputation for identifying, grooming, and providing pathways for talented Nigerian footballers to play professionally abroad.
The management of Buruj Football Club congratulated Malobi on the achievement and wished him success in his new environment.
“The club remains committed to creating pathways for talented Nigerian footballers to achieve their dreams on the international stage,” the club stated.
“Congratulations, Malobi Ebubechukwu David! Wishing you success with FK Naftëtari.”
Malobi will now begin pre-season preparations with FK Naftëtari as the club targets promotion in the 2026/2027 campaign.
