Nigeria’s former Minister of Women Affairs, Aisha Jummai Al-Hassan, popularly known as Mama Taraba, is dead.

Senator Aisha Jummai Al-Hassan reportedly died in a hospital in Cairo, Egypt.

She was born on 16th September, 1959, in Jalingo, Taraba State. She had resigned as the Honourable Minister of Women Affairs on July 27, 2018, from the cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari

Aisha Jummai Al-Hassan was previously a Senator and represented Taraba North Senatorial District of Taraba State.
