The Lagos State government has kicked off the second phase “Ounje Eko”, partnering with MoMo PSB for the second time on this food security initiative.

With rising food prices leaving Nigerians in a fix and the average person unable to purchase their desired food items without thinking about the impact on their wallets, the Lagos State government has set out to provide Lagosians with quality food items at affordable rates.

MoMo PSB is set to provide shoppers with seamless payment experiences at Ounje Eko.

Here’s why no Lagosian should miss out on shopping at Ounje Eko:

  1. Groceries at a discount: With Ounje Eko, individuals get to purchase fresh and quality food items at a discount of up to 25% at select market locations. People can access groceries at reasonable prices and enjoy proper and balanced meals without breaking the bank.
  2. Multiple Market Locations: Lagosians do not have to worry about missing out on the juicy discounts at Ounje Eko due to distance. Over 60 market locations have been created in diverse locations across the state, making the food discounts accessible to everyone regardless of where they reside.
  3. Payments made easy: Shoppers at Ounje Eko can ditch long payment queues using MoMo PSB. MoMo users are guaranteed hassle-free payment, as they can simply scan and make payments with their mobile wallets. Also, in the event that one’s ATM card is unavailable to make payment at the food stands, they can easily pay using their phone numbers via MoMo PSB.
  4. Financial Inclusion: With MoMo PSB, financial inclusion is guaranteed. Shoppers at Ounje Eko are encouraged to use mobile wallets, which provides convenient, accessible and affordable financial services. Users are more informed about their finances, enabling them to make informed financial decisions.

Ounje Eko Phase 2 began in the first week of September, but it won’t be on forever.

The food discount markets are scheduled to operate on Sundays for eight weeks.

Every Lagosian is encouraged to seize the opportunity to purchase their favorite food items at unbeatable prices and enjoy easy payments with MoMo PSB.
