The Distinguished Lawmaker representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Senator Solomon Adeola, has expressed satisfaction with the huge success recorded in his free Joint Admission Matriculation Board(JAMB) forms initiative for indigent students of his senatorial district.

In his reaction to the report on the educational advancement project submitted by the committee saddled with the responsibility, the Senator commended the committee for achieving over 4200 registration for the examination from the targeted 5000 students stressing that he is optimistic that many of the beneficiaries would ultimately turn out to be successful undergraduates after the examination.

The report of the committee submitted to the office of the Senator explained that it could not meet up with the target of 5000 due the closure of JAMB portal on 24th February 2025 and numerous internet downtimes experienced while the initiative lasted.

Mr. Scholar Ola Agbetokun, coordinator of the initiative detailed the beneficiaries across the five LGAs of Ogun West, namely Ado Odo Ota, Yewa South, Yewa North, Ipokia and Imeko Afon adding that the benevolent gesture was equally extended to indigent constituents residing in the two other senatorial of Ogun State.

“ It is satisfactory for me to achieve these huge numbers of my constituents and others who would have been denied a stepping stone opportunity to get advance tertiary education. Education is the best legacy we can give to our people and financial constraints should not stop our youth from good education “ he stated.

Senator stated that a complementary initiative to his free JAMB form project is the scholarship and bursary scheme for tertiary education students adding that the second edition targeted to benefit about 5000 will be implemented in the weeks ahead.
