Friendly Match: Buruj FC Beats Bright Future FC 3-2

Preparatory to foreign and local engagements, renowned sporting outfit, Buruj FC on Friday 13th October, 2023, engaged Bright Future FC in a pulsating friendly match.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the friendly encounter between the two sides took place at Buruj FC’s home ground and the match kicked off by 4:26pm prompt.
The Bright Future FC boys commenced the game with first half pass.
Immediately the match kicked off, both sides took to attacking and progressive pattern of play. The plan paid off for the Buruj FC team as they scored the first goal in the 35th minute of play. It came as a result of the clever ball passed by Gafar, which connected Victor Chukwu, the goal scorer.
At the end of first forty-five minutes of play, Buruj FC led by a lone goal to nil.
The second half, which resumed by 5:24pm, saw the Buruj boys proceed with the second half pass. The game went on yet again with the display of attacking style by both sides while searching for goal.
Another goal however, came in the 49th minute via an assisted ball passed from Gafar, which located super substitute, Kelechi Williams, who came off the bench to score.
Buruj FC Goalkeeper, Edet Inyang, made series of saves for his team. Likewise his team mate, Olu Gbenga, who did very well by roughly close marking the opponents very tight at the midfield. Efforts by the Bright Future FC players to reduce the goal tally against Buruj boys paid off as they scored in the 83rd minute. Not relenting, they scored their second goal in the 87th minute.
However, the “Never Say Die Buruj boys came up stronger fighting hard to coordinate themselves with intelligent ball passes. It was their concerted efforts that gave them the third goal at exactly 90 minutes of play and the goal was scored by Raheem Salaudeen, another super substitute from the bench. He got connected as well via another great an assistant pass from Gafar.
At the end of the highly entertaining encounter, Gafar was chosen as the man of the match as it ended with three goals in favour of the Buruj boys and two goals for the Bright Future FC side.
