Fuji music star, Alhaji Sule Adekunle Malaika on Saturday afternoon escaped death during an auto crash involving his SUV along Ikorodu Road, Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Malaika and some of his band boys and managers were on their way to honour a performing engagement in Festac Town when the accident happened at Onipanu area of Ikorodu Road.

According to one of the singer’s aides who was in the vehicle, a truck carrying a container had lost its break and crashed into the Toyota Highlander SUV driven by Malaika’s media aide.

“We were on our way to a burial party where we were to perform around Festac when the accident happened. Our 2013 Toyota Highlander was crushed as we also rammed into another SUV in our front. Thankfully, only one person was slightly injured among the six of us in the vehicle,” the media aide told P.M.EXPRESS.

It was gathered that Malaika escaped unhurt while his brother who was seated at the back of the SUV was unlucky as he reportedly sustained a deep cut on his head and hand.

However, the band still went ahead to honour the engagement while the injured guy was taken to the hospital for treatment and later joined the band at the party.
