The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), H.E. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, OFR, met with the leadership of the defunct APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) on Tuesday, August 15th 2023, at the APC Headquarters in FCT, Abuja.

The forum of former Directors & Secretaries paid a courtesy visit to the National Chairman to congratulate him and pledged to continue supporting the party and the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Forum executives, led by its Chairman, Maj Gen. Abdulmalik Jibril (Rtd), in his remark and on behalf of the entire forum, felicitated with both the National Chairman, National Secretary and expressed the joy of the Forum over the emergence of the duo to lead the party to a greater height.

Gen. Jibril further informed the National Chairman that the aim and primary objective of the Forum is to continue to support the party and the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, which the PCC collectively birthed to success. He acknowledged the Nation’s current challenges due to the removal of fuel subsidies and forex deregulation. However, the fact remains that all these are long overdue as it was inevitable that no matter which political party formed the government, it would have done the same to move the country forward. The Forum, therefore, tasked itself to reach out to all its followers and constituencies to sensitise them and urge them to continue to support and pray for the government of President Tinubu to succeed and deliver dividends of democracy to the citizenry.

Upon receiving the Forum leadership, the National Chairman, accompanied by APC NWC executives, expressed joy, thanked the visiting team for forming the Forum and appreciated its members’ patriotism.

He further stated, “*I see the PCC as Pre-election and Post-election PCC, now the work of post-election has to continue to sensitise the general public about the good policies of this government and the palliatives that are ready to be rolled out by the government to cushion the effects of subsidy removal on the short, medium and long terms respectively. The Chairman urged the Forum and the general public to continue supporting President Tinubu, a good administrator and a true unifier with an unbeatable track record to date*”. The Chairman concluded with a pledge to work with the Forum and support it in achieving its goals.

In delivering her vote of thanks, the Secretary of the Forum, Chief Bisi Idahomi Esq, thanked the Chairman and NWC members for receiving the Forum executives and providing a friendly atmosphere throughout the meeting. She further thanked the APC NWC for their promise to work together with the Forum of former Directors and Secretaries in promoting the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
