Gani Fawehinmi’s First Son, Mohammed Dies!

Mohammed, the first son of late foremost human rights lawyer, Gani Fawehinmi, is dead. He was aged 50.

Mohammed reportedly died on Wednesday after complaining of breathing difficulties.

The late Fawehinmi was a graduate of Business Administration of the University of Lagos in 1991. He obtained his Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Buckingham, England and was called to Nigerian Bar in 1998.

He has had over 20 years experience in law practice and was Head, Mohammed Fawehinmi’s Chambers, Director, Nigerian Law Publications Limited, Books Industries Nigeria Limited and Gani Fawehinmi Library & Gallery Limited.

In 2003, Mohammed had a terrible accident in Lagos, which affected his spinal cord and confined him to a wheelchair. The accident reportedly also changed his life, the way he never envisaged.
