Girl, 16 Jumped Inside Black Maria To Follow Lover To Prison

There was a mild drama on at Ejigbo Magistrate court on Wednesday when a 16-year old girl, Alimotu Ololugbo forced herself and jumped into a prison black maria bus and asked the prison officials to take her along with her lover to prison custody at Kirikiri, Lagos.
She cried openly at the court premises and lamented that she cannot cope without her lover and wished to follow him where he was being taken to.
She refused to come down after much persuasion until a police woman forced her and arrested and handcuffed her for obstruction and took her to the station.
Her action and that of the police at the scene stunned both the court officials and the litigants present at the court.
Her Lover, Opemiposi Olayiwola, 18 was arrested with three other suspects, Sikiru Tajudeen, 22, Adedayo Adeyula, 26 and Oladimeji Jimoh, 19 for allegedly conduct likely to cause breach of public peace in Ikotun area of Lagos.
They reportedly threatened with violence and attacked staff and passengers at a transport company terminal, Chukwubuikem Motors Nigeria Limited demanding money from them with menace.
The matter was reported to the police at Ikotun division who rounded them up and arrested them and took them to the station.
They were charged to court with the alleged offence under the Criminal Code.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr A.A. Fashola  granted them bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum.
They were remanded in prison custody pending when they will perfect their bail condition.
While they were being taken to the waiting Black Maria bus, it was dawn on Alimotu that  Olayiwola was being taken to the prison, she broke down in tears and jumped into the bus and refused to come out.
The suspects matter has been adjourned till 14 November 2016 for trial.
