Girl, 20, Beats Woman, 47, To Death During Public Fight

A 20-year old girl, Opeyemi Abidemi, has landed in big trouble in Lagos after she engaged a 47-year old woman, Abisode Bello, in a public fight and she died in the process.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Opeyemi, has been arrested and detained by the Police.

The incident happened at Ajah area of Lagos, where they reside.

The cause of the fight was not disclosed by the Police and what the suspect did to the deceased before she slumped and later died was not disclosed yet.
The corpse of the deceased has been deposited at the mortuary for autopsy report while the suspect is still in Police custody pending when she will be charged to Court.

This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bala Elkana, who confirmed that the suspect is in Police custody undergoing interrogations.
He said that on 28th February, 2020, at about 1000hrs, one Afeez Oloande ‘m’ of No. 2 Ado Road, Ajah Lekki and one Femi Olasunde ‘m’ reported at Elemero Police Station that on 27th February, 2020, at about 1800hrs at Aiyeteju-Ofiran town, Ibeju Lekki, one Opeyemi Abidemi ‘f’ 20, had a fight with one Abosede Bello ‘f’, 47.
That during the scuffle, the said Abosede Bello slumped and was rushed  to Akodo General  hospital, where she died on 28th February, 2020 at about 0900hrs.
DSP Elkana said that the corpse was deposited at Epe General Hospital mortuary for post mortem examination while the suspect has been arrested and will be charged to Court after the conclusion of investigation by the Police.
