It went down well amid eulogies at Ifite Awkuzu, Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State, on Wednesday 3rd January, 2024, as the CEO of GK Creative, Chief Godwin Nkemakonam Anaebonam, family, relatives, associates and friends gathered to pay their last respect to his mother, Mrs. Josephine Oliaku Anaebonam (Nee Nnagbo).
Mrs. Josephine Oliaku Anaebonam, who breathed her last on 26th February, 2023, passed on at the age of 70 years after a brief illness.
Mma Lulu Uno, as she is fondly called, began her final journey from the morgue to John Ogugua Anaebonam’s compound at Amudene, Amabor Ifite Awkuzu. After a brief lying in State amid cries by loved ones at the compound, a Requiem Mass was celebrated for the peaceful repose of her gentle soul.
After the Requiem Mass, the body of Mrs. Josephine Oliaku Anaebonam was peacefully interred with eulogies which preceded the funeral oration. Thereafter, in-laws, friends, associates and wellwishers took turns to pay their condolence visits while the entertainment of guests continued.
Speaking to P.M.EXPRESS, Chief Godwin Nkemakonam Anaebonam, popularly known as Egbe Igwe Awkuzu, said he had wished to see to his mother live for many more years before transiting. But that he cannot question God’s will at this point.
He thanked his friends and associates from far and near who took time out of their busy New Year engagements to condole and sympathize with him and his family in their moment of grief.
Chief Anaebonam hinted that the outing service will take place on Sunday 7th January, 2024, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Ifite Awkuzu, Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State.
