National telecommunications company, Globacom, is availing its pre-paid subscribers the opportunity to borrow airtime and data for friends, associates and family members. The service is called Borrow for Others.
“A subscriber can enjoy the service by dialing *777# or *321# or access the service online to indicate how much he or she wishes to borrow on behalf of another subscriber”, Globacom said in a press statement issued in Lagos. It explained that “For instance, a subscriber who wants to borrow N25 airtime is required to dial *321#, choose option 4 “Borrow Credit for Others” to select the required denomination”.
Globacom which added that subscribers can also borrow data by dialing *321# and choosing option 5 “Borrow Data for others” to select any required data pack that they are qualified to enjoy, added that that the borrowed airtime can be used to call other networks or make international calls, while the borrowed data can be used to browse the internet as one desires.
The borrower, according to Globacom, must have been a consistent subscriber to the Glo network for at least 90 days to be able to borrow any denomination of airtime or data on behalf of other subscribers.
The company which also said that the borrower is expected to have a good credit history with the network added that he or she is expected to pay back on his or her next recharge within a given period or by dialing *321*9*9#.
