Godwin Ezeemo Offers Free Education In Anambra

Ahead of the Anambra State  governorship election, the candidate of the Progressive Peoples Alliance, (PPA), Chief Godwin Ezeemo has reiterated his commitment if elected as governor to offer free education in all the primary schools in the State.

Chief Ezeemo disclosed this on Sunday during a fund raising dinner organised by the party’s campaign organization at Golden Tulip Hotel, in Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos.

Ezeemo popularly called Achi Na Akpara Anambra who came to the event with all the notable party officials, said that his ambition was out of passion to alleviate the sufferings of the people and build egalitarianism in the State.

The chairman of Orient Group of Companies said that his administration will key into the key areas he code named: SHAPE. He explained that the SHAPE agenda means, Security, Health, Agriculture, Power. and Education.

He noted that power was key to economic development and as the state had established industries, it was logical that it needed stable power supply.

He also speak on why he will offer free education; saying that it was the less privileged that suffer most because the children move on the street exposing themselves to all manners of vices.

He urged the stakeholders to convince their people in the state to vote for him because he was the most qualified among the candidates contesting the election. He promised that he will not tamper with the state funds because he was already a successful businessman. He explained that he would have chosen to live comfortably abroad but returned and lived among the people.

He said the essence of the dinner was to show how politics for elective position were done in civilised nations, where candidates will have to depend on the people to raise funds. He maintained that it was wrong to depend on godfathers who will invest and would want to steal public money to recover the money they spent.

The event was attended by captains of industry, market leaders and other stakeholders from Anambra State resident in Lagos.

Some of the speakers including the party chieftains, friends of Ezeemo expressed their confidence and believe in Ezeemo. They therefore urged the stakeholders to mobilise the voters across the various local government areas in Anambra State for Ezeemo, so that he can secure majority of the votes and win the election eventually.
