FUNSHO AROGUNDADE
Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) service provider, GOtv, recently hosted a large number of its subscribers in Surulere area of Lagos and its environs at the Media Centre of the National Stadium, Lagos. The occasion was the GOtv Customer Forum, the subscriber engagement initiative of the service.
The initiative brought subscribers face-to-face with GOtv management staff, providing a platform for subscriber enquiries and appropriate responses to such by GOtv staff.
Present at the forum, in addition to subscribers, were representatives of the Consumer Protection Council (CPC) and National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), GOtv dealers as well as sales agents.
Notable among the issues raised by subscribers and addressed by GOtv staff were reconnection issues after subscription renewal, poor reception, signal loss, and installation difficulties.
Subscribers were also informed of “Sabi Men”, the company’s crop of technical hands who provide door-to-door solutions to a variety of issues related to GOtv service. Similarly, subscribers were informed of the flexible payment options in its 20-channel new bouquet, GOtv Lite, which costs N400 monthly.
Subscribers who had difficulties with their hardware or service were provided on-the-spot solutions at the GOtv Clinic set up at the venue. They were equally informed of the toll-free phone lines for subscriber enquiries.
Subscribers also made suggestions on how GOtv could improve its service.
The GOtv staff thanked the subscribers and other attendees and assured that the service provider remains fully committed to improving its service and ensuring greater television viewing experience.
They also explained that GOtv Lite was introduced to provide a more affordable bouquet to subscribers, especially in the light of the current economic situation in the country.
At N1,050 quarterly and N3, 100 yearly, they explained, GOtv Lite is a pocket-friendly bouquet that offers great value. Subscribers were advised to adopt the GOtv Eazy self-service option because it offers greater convenience by removing the need to visit a physical outlet to renew subscriptions.
