The Executive Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, has assured South Easterners of the great benefits and reward mechanism lined up for the zone by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Governor made this declaration in Owerri, the state capital, when he hosted the APC South East leaders to an End of the Year meeting. He made it clear that the essence of the meeting was to brainstorm and chat the way forward for the zone especially in the party.
Gov. Uzodinma revealed that it is time the party takes over the Zone as the South East leaders have decided to join the ruling All Progressives Congress, embark on reconciliatory moves amongst the members and encourage massive registration into the party.
He added that in the past, the APC was being blackmailed as not being a political party and clothed with several designs of insults but today the South Easterners have realized the need to join the ruling party hence will make their stand known during the 2021 National Convention of the party.
You may recall that Gov. Hope Uzodinma was the only APC Governor in the South East and through his dogged and exemplary style of leadership attracted his Ebonyi State counterpart to dump the PDP for APC to compliment the vision of South East for APC and since then Gov. Hope Uzodinma has not rested on his oars to make South East an APC Zone.
By this recent move of the South East APC leaders, the Zone is set to benefit a lot from the party.
