The Government of the State of Osun has commiserated with Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, and the Government of the state, over an attack by a terror group on the convoy of the State Governor, leaving in its trail deaths and injuries.
The incident happened along Baga highway in the northern part of the State.
In a statement signed by the Honorable Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation for the State of Osun, Mrs Funke Egbemode, Osun government sympathised with Governor Zulum and the families of those who lost their lives to the terror attack.
The statement read in part: “On behalf of the government and the people of the State of Osun, we convey our heartfelt sympathy to Governor Babagana Zulum and the good people of Borno state.
“Osun government also extends its condolences to the families of those who lost their lives to the violence, and to the people who have been displaced by the terror group.
“We pray that God will comfort every grieving home and everyone who has suffered a devastation due to this unfortunate attack.
“As a people, our collective resolve against terrorism and violence remains strong, and we hope that this common enemy will soon be brought under control”, the statement read.
