The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, today swore in Hon. Segun Odunmbaku and Hon. Funmi Layeni as Chairman and Vice Chairperson of Ojodu LCDA respectively, following their election in the July 12, 2024 Local Ggovernment polls.
The swearing-in ceremony, which held at the Lagos House, Alausa-Ikeja, was attended by political leaders, top government officials, traditional rulers and stakeholders across the state.
Governor Sanwo-Olu also administered the oath of office to the newly elected Chairmen and Vice Chairpersons of the 20 Local Government Areas and 37 LCDAs across Lagos State.
While addressing the gathering, the Governor charged the newly sworn-in council executives to prioritize service delivery, grassroots development and transparency in governance. He urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by the electorate by working towards improved infrastructure, education, healthcare and youth empowerment.
Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, who took the oath at exactly 12:30 p.m alongside other elected Council Chairmen, expressed gratitude for the renewed mandate and described the occasion as a call to action.
He reiterated his commitment to the HEYSRELOADED AGENDA, pledging to accelerate developmental projects and policies that will continue to foster the ongoing transformation in Ojodu LCDA.
