Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo CFR, over the weekend attended ADSi Multi-purpose Cooperative’s 1st Anniversary in Awka.

He was represented by the State Chief of Protocol and Deputy Chief of Staff, Mr. Chinedu Nwoye Glamour.

ADSi Multi-purpose Cooperative’s 1st Anniversary in Awka held on international day of Cooperatives.

Theme of the event was “Cooperatives: Partners for Sustainable Development.”

The ADSi Multi-purpose cooperative was founded in 2021 by Pastor Dr. Ogochukwu Soludo and Mr. Peter Azolibe, who were inspired by the activities of ADS (Anambra Demands Soludo). ADS was one of many volunteer support groups that ardently fought for the election of Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo as Governor of Anambra State.

The event showcased the achievements and milestones of the cooperative over the past year. These include; providing financial assistance to members to start or expand their businesses, organizing training and workshops on cooperative management, entrepreneurship and advocating for the interests of cooperatives with government and other stakeholders.

Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Soludo’s envoy, Chinedu Nwoye, praised the cooperative for its commitment to cooperative ideals and its contribution to Anambra State’s socioeconomic growth.

He also emphasized the important congruence between the ADSi Multi-purpose cooperative and Governor Soludo’s transformative ambition for Anambra State.

Nwoye noted that Governor Soludo’s manifesto offers a game-changing vision for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

The Governor’s goal is to develop APGA into a cooperative movement that encourages active involvement, inclusivity, and group decision-making among its members.

Governor Soludo envisions a unique strategy that empowers individuals, communities, and organizations to actively contribute to Anambra State’s development and governance processes by integrating cooperative governance principles with political ideology.

This revolutionary vision aspires to build a cooperative ecosystem in which every person has a stake and a voice in creating the state’s future.

As ADSi Multi-purpose Cooperative marks its first anniversary, it is a shining illustration of Governor Soludo’s aim to transform APGA into a cooperative movement.

The cooperative is a real example of the power of collaboration, when individuals come together to pool their resources, talents, and ideas in order to achieve common goals.

The event was a chance for government officials, representatives from various cooperatives in the state, and stakeholders in the cooperative sector to come together and discuss issues of mutual interest.
