Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra State joined the Nigerian Army’s 302 Artillery Division in Onitsha to celebrate the 2024 West African Social Activities (WASA).
As the Special Guest of Honour, Governor Soludo praised the Nigerian Army for their tireless efforts in securing the country’s civil spaces and defending its territorial integrity.
The Governor specifically thanked the Army for being valuable partners in the fight against criminality in Anambra State. He also expressed his deepest gratitude to the spouses of soldiers, describing them as true heroes and selfless individuals.
Col. Adamu Muhammad, Commander of the 302 Artillery Regiment, welcomed Governor Soludo and expressed his joy at the Governor’s presence.
The event featured cultural dance displays, a tug-of-war game, and an award ceremony for deserving soldiers. The celebration concluded with Governor Soludo leading other dignitaries in lighting up the camp fire.
