The Executive Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has congratulated all Muslim brothers and sisters in Anambra State and across Nigeria as they celebrate this year’s Eid el Maulud festival.
In his goodwill message, Governor Soludo described Eid el Maulud as a significant occasion that marks the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and serves as a reminder of his exemplary life, teachings, and the virtues of Islam which are peace, love, and brotherhood.
Governor Soludo therefore, urged all Muslim Ummah to reflect on the Prophet’s message of unity, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence.
He emphasized the importance of fostering an atmosphere of harmony, understanding, and mutual respect among people of all faiths in Anambra State and Nigeria as a whole.
Also, the Governor called on the Muslim community to use this period of celebration to pray for the peace, progress, and prosperity of Anambra State and Nigeria, even as they extend their hand of fellowship to the needy and vulnerable in the society.
As Governor Soludo wished the Muslim Ummah a joyous and blessed Eid el Maulud celebration, he also prayed that this occasion brings about renewed commitment to the ideals of Islam and contributes to the overall well-being of our dear state and nation.
