The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. (Mrs) Amaka Obi (Iyom Idemili), has stated that Anambra State Government ably led by Governor Charles Soludo is committed to transforming educational sector in the state.
She made the statement after JAMB released the 2023 results, which Anambra State took the first position.
“When Governor Charles Soludo took the mantle of leadership, he made it clear that he will transform educational sector in the state. For years, Anambra State continued to sit at the bottom of the National Education rankings.”
She maintained that Anambra State Government is committed to improving the quality of education in the state, stating that the State Government have taken the system from the prism of a narrow window dressing to a broad and holistic approach towards addressing the numerous challenges confronting the sector, especially at the basic level, which is the most critical stage in human development.
Furthermore, Governor Soludo deployed a multi-disciplinary approach to deal with educational challenges.
“It is, therefore, not a coincidence that the educational sector in Anambra is receiving so much attention and face-lift. The government places a high premium on developing the sector to enviable heights and is already showing shore up productivity with the outcome of 2023 Jamb results” Hon. Amaka Obi concluded.
