Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has officially received a donation of 10 vehicles from Chief Cletus Oragwa of Zenco Group.

The handover ceremony was used by the Governor to reiterate his administration’s commitment to an “Open Society” powered by the Public-Private-Community Partnership (PPCP) model.

Governor Soludo emphasized that the speed of development required for the state cannot be achieved through public capital alone.

“Public capital alone cannot be expected to accelerate development at the pace we desire,” Soludo stated. “We must leverage private capital and the resilient spirit of our people to transform the state.”

A major highlight of the Governor’s address was the remarkable turnaround of Ukpor. Formerly a flashpoint for security challenges, Governor Soludo proudly declared that Ukpor is now one of the safest communities in the state.

This security milestone is a precursor to a major industrial shift. The Governor announced that the state is currently building a Kaolin Processing Plant in Ukpor, which is slated for commissioning in the near future.

He noted that the plant signals to the world that Ukpor is notable for high-value mineral resources. “The facility is expected to create jobs and position the community as a key player in the state’s industrial map.

Commending the “community spirit” displayed by the people of Ukpor, the Governor extended his gratitude to Ndi Anambra who share the same vision of “Think Home.” He praised those who are returning to invest in their local communities, noting that these partnerships are designed to endure long after his administration.

“I thank Ndi Anambra who are of the same spirit and are coming home to build the homeland. For this partnership, we say thank you,” Governor Soludo concluded.

Speaking on behalf of Zenco at the event, Barr. Ikenna Mbazulike-Amechi thanked the Governor for his administration’s visible strides across various sectors. He noted that the donation was a contribution to ensuring that the Governor’s vision for a “livable and prosperous” homeland remains on track.
