The Executive Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma, received traditional rulers, critical leaders and stakeholders from Ohaji Egbema Local Government Area (LGA) at Imo State Government House, in the spirit of providing more dividends of Democracy to Imo people and application of Governance at the grassroots level.
The Ohaji Egbema Local Government Stakeholders were led by Rt. Hon. Goodluck Opiah with other key leaders of the Oil kingdom.
Rt. Hon. Goodluck Opiah commended Governor Hope Uzodinma for the love he has shown to the Oil kingdom, the Ohaji Egbema. He added No Governor has paid so much attention to the People of Ohaji Egbema.
In his presentation, Rt. Hon. Goodluck Opiah disclosed by commending the dogged Governor for restoring the oil wells lost to Rivers state Government.
He commended the Governor for elevating the Imo State Polytechnic Umuagwo to a full fledged State University of Agriculture.
Chief Charles Orie, MD/CEO ISOPADEC, commended Governor Hope Uzodinma for the many ongoing projects in Ohaji Egbema as due process was followed in the award of contracts. He also disclosed that the General Hospital in Ohaji Egbema abandoned for several decades is not only getting a face lift but an extra 20 room annex is being built.
According to the ISOPADEC MD/CEO, “the Government is revamping schools in the local government and building more enduring structures to restore Ohaji/Egbema to its place of glory in the state”.
The Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, in his response disclosed his plans and developmental programmes for the Oil kingdom communities and assured them of his plans to fast track the executions.
