Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, has expressed deep sadness over the passing of Dame Peace Onyekwulechi Igbokwe, mother of Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, who died on October 18, 2025, at the age of 60.
In a condolence message, the Governor described her death as a great loss to the Igbokwe family and all who benefited from her kindness.
He noted that Dame Peace was a successful business executive, leadership icon, and woman of compassion, whose impact on family, community, and humanity will be long remembered.
Governor Otti encouraged the family to draw comfort from her impactful life, service to humanity, and strong faith, while expressing hope in the resurrection promise.
He extended condolences on behalf of the Government and people of Abia State, praying for strength for the family and eternal rest for her soul.
