As the Main Draws of the first leg (Futures 4) of the 17th Governor’s Cup Lagos Tennis Championship serves off Monday morning at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, Onikan, some Nigerian players will take to the court with the determination of making impacts in this year’s competition.
Clifford Enosoregbe will battle Andrew Watson in one of the first round matches on Monday, Abdulmumin Babalola will fight on court against John Sebastian Tatlot, Joseph Imeh and Ilija Vucic will also settle scores on court in the men’s singles.
Barakat Oyinlomo Quadre will battle against Brenda Njoki in the women’s singles., whilie in the men’s Doubles, the duo of Abdulmumi Babalola and Enosoregbe will square up against the pair of Tom Jomby and Sebastian Tatlot in the Round of 16 matches.
In the women’s Doubles, Adetayo Adetunji and Barakat Oyinlomo Quadre fight Ester Masuri and Oleksandra Piskun. Ronke Akingbade paired Olusola Deborah Gbadamosi against the duo of Brenda Njuki and FannyOstlund, Sarah Adegoke and her partner Slyvia Chidera Oreigbemileke Okafor battle Conny Perrin and Valeriya Strakhova.
Meanwhile, tickets for the Governor’s Cup are available on the platforms of Ariya Tickets and Naija Tickets Shop. The tickets come in different categories. While Category 1 regular ticket goes for N1,500 each, the VIP category goes for N5,000 each. The tickets bought last for the two weeks event. The tickets can also be purchased at the venue.
