Guinness Nigeria Plc has strengthened its connection with Nigeria’s evolving lifestyle and social culture with the launch of the Guinness Lounge at Magic Padel, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, bringing its iconic stout brand into one of the city’s fastest-growing sporting and social scenes.

The partnership brings together sport, music, hospitality and social connection, creating a distinctive experience where the energy of padel meets the character of Guinness.

Guests experienced the refreshed Guinness-branded courts before moving into the new Guinness Lounge, a dedicated space for conversation, relaxation and celebration.

The collaboration reflects Guinness Nigeria’s ambition to create experiences that extend beyond traditional consumption occasions by connecting the brand with the passions, interests and ways of connecting that are shaping contemporary Nigerian life.

Speaking on the partnership, Professor Fabian Ajogwu, OFR, SAN, Chairman, Board of Directors, Guinness Nigeria Plc, said the collaboration reflects Guinness’ ability to evolve while staying true to its heritage.

“Guinness Nigeria has always evolved with the times without losing sight of the heritage and values that make Guinness an iconic brand. Our partnership with Magic Padel is another expression of that philosophy. By bringing the Guinness experience into an emerging lifestyle space, we are creating opportunities for meaningful connection while supporting the growth of communities built around sport, wellness and social interaction.”

Also speaking, Girish Sharma, Managing Director/CEO, Guinness Nigeria Plc, said the partnership demonstrates the company’s commitment to showing up in spaces that matter to consumers.

“Consumers today are seeking experiences that bring together connection, entertainment, wellness and hospitality, and Magic Padel provides a compelling platform for that. This partnership allows us to take the bold and distinctive character of Guinness into a vibrant social environment while creating a space where people can relax, connect and enjoy memorable moments.”

Speaking on behalf of Magic Padel, Maya Semaan, Operations Manager, described the partnership as a natural fit between two brands with a shared focus on community and connection.

“For us at Magic Padel, the experience here is a lot more than the game. It is about great people coming together to build a community and create great experiences. So, tonight is a great moment for us as we celebrate the partnership between Guinness and Magic Padel. Guinness is a brand with such a strong identity, and we really believe that the two brands share something in common – community and bringing people together. This partnership is not simply about a logo on the court or the lounge. It is about creating experiences and activating great entertainment and sports that bring people together.”

The partnership positions Guinness at the intersection of its distinctive heritage and the contemporary energy of Lagos’ growing padel community.

Through the Guinness Lounge and refreshed court branding, the collaboration creates a social destination where players and guests can connect, unwind, and enjoy the Guinness experience.

The launch builds on more than 76 years of Guinness Nigeria’s presence in the country.

Since producing its first locally brewed Guinness Foreign Extra Stout in 1963, Guinness Nigeria has continued to evolve with the changing tastes, lifestyles and aspirations of Nigerians, finding new ways to remain relevant while staying true to the heritage of the Guinness brand.
