Guinness Nigeria PLC, through its flagship brand Guinness, hosted an unforgettable season finale watch party on Sunday as millions of fans worldwide celebrated Arsenal’s historic Premier League championship after a 22-year wait. As the Official Beer of the Premier League and Official Global Partner of Arsenal, Guinness gathered over 500 passionate supporters and football lovers at Guinness HQ in Lagos, with a simultaneous watch party in Abuja, for a night of triumph, community, and premium enjoyment.

The grand finale marked the culmination of a monumental season-long series of Guinness MatchDay viewing parties. Throughout the season, the brand brought genuine stadium energy to bars and third spaces across more than ten cities, including Enugu, Awka, Port Harcourt, and Ibadan, uniting over 10,000 fans in shared football experiences. The initiative reflects Guinness Nigeria’s continued commitment to anchoring the cultural moments that matter most to Nigerian consumers.

On the night of the finale, fans watched Arsenal secure a gritty 2-1 victory. The Lagos event was amplified by the presence of top entertainment personalities, and Big Brother Naija stars Koyin, Bella, and Prince, while Dede’s presence lit up the Abuja venue. The evening was hosted by dynamic Sports Host – Chief SUO, who captured the roaring energy of devoted Arsenal fans celebrating a milestone of more than two decades in the making.

Speaking at the event, Ifeoluwapo Odedere, Senior Brand Manager, Guinness, said: “Football is a cultural touchstone that brings out the most profound moments of joy, passion, and connection among fans. As the Official Beer of the Premier League and a proud partner of Arsenal, our goal with the MatchDay sessions was to curate a space where fans could truly savour these monumental occasions in a way that only Guinness can enable.”

Attendees enjoyed an immersive experience featuring non-stop music, perfectly poured Guinness, and a high stakes Predict and Win challenge. Fifteen fans who correctly predicted the final scoreline were rewarded with Guinness MatchDay jerseys and a week’s worth of Guinness FES and Guinness Smooth.

The Guinness MatchDay Finale underscores Guinness Nigeria’s role as a corporate brand at the centre of culture, convening consumers around the experiences that define them. From football to music, from sport to celebration, the company’s portfolio of brands continues to deliver the moments Nigerians remember, bringing to life Guinness Nigeria’s mission of helping Nigerians celebrate life every day, everywhere.
