Handsworth United Football Club are set to inflict more pains on Buruj when both teams clash Wedenesday at Agidingbi Primary School, Ikeja, Lagos.
Recently Buruj FC suffered 5-0 humiliating defeat in the hands of Prince Kazeem Eletu and they are going to play Handsworth in a friendly match, which promises to be tough.
On the other hands, Handsworth have commenced an early preparation for the Manufacturer’s Cup scheduled to hold in October at Agege Stadium.
Their match against Buruj is part of the preparation for Handsworth FC to assess newly recruited players ahead of annual competition.
Team Manager of Handsworth, Tajudeen Olasunkanmi told our correspondent that Buruj are not pushovers, adding that his boys would approach the friendly match with all seriousness. He said they have recruited new players recently and the coach would assess them through the friendly match.
“We are aware that Buruj suffered a serious defeat against Prince Kazeem Eletu FC recently in a friendly match, we are not playing them because they are weak, but we want to play them because they always give us a good fight anytime we have encounter with them. The coach knows what to do against Buruj in Wednesday’s match and I am optimistic that we will come out victorious,” he said.
