Heirs Holdings Opens Applications For Second Graduate Trainee Programme

Pan-African investment company, Heirs Holdings has opened applications for the second cohort of its Graduate Trainee Programme, inviting young Nigerians and international talent to launch careers across its portfolio of businesses in energy, insurance, financial services, power, and real estate.

The programme is managed through Heirs Academy, Heirs Holdings’ centre of excellence for leadership development, institutional capability, and talent management.

Heirs Holdings said the Heirs Academy Graduate Trainee Programme is open to candidates who meet the following requirements:

-Age: 27 years or below

-Education: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, Second Class Lower / 2:2, from an accredited Nigerian or foreign university

-NYSC: Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps programme

-Experience: No more than two years of post-NYSC professional experience

The Graduate Trainee Programme combines classroom-based learning with hands-on work experience across Heirs Holdings and its group companies.

Selected trainees will undergo foundational business training, technical skills development, and direct exposure to live projects.

According to the company, the objective is to equip early-career professionals with business acumen, professional discipline, and sector expertise needed to succeed in dynamic corporate environments.

Speaking on the launch, Eluemuno Olumagin, Group Director, Human Resources, Heirs Holdings, said talent development is central to the company’s long-term strategy.

Through the Heirs Academy Graduate Trainee Programme, we are identifying high-potential young professionals and equipping them with the critical skills, enterprise mindset, and sector depth required to build impactful careers and create lasting institutional value across the continent,” Olumagin said.

The inaugural cohort recorded 54 trainees who completed six months of structured learning and professional development.

Since graduating, participants have taken up roles across Heirs Holdings and its portfolio companies.

Heirs Holdings, founded by Tony Elumelu, operates across key sectors of the African economy. The company said it views talent development as a core pillar for driving sustainable growth and building institutions across the continent.
