Hon Enefe, Ogbuefi Chuma Alleges Threat to Life, Alerts Security Agencies & APGA

In recent times, politics in Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency, Anambra State had taken an ugly trend. The most anticipated APGA primaries have sent chillers to desperate politicians who reportedly have nothing to offer and have resorted to blackmailing and attacking promising aspirants all in a bid to snatch victory away.

These desperate politicians had reportedly deviced evil means of outwitting their perceived political opponents.

First, it was APGA Oyi LGA boss, Hon. Onochie (a.k.a. Taker) who through a phone conversation threatened to deal brutally with Ogbuefi Harris Chuma (Media Director General of Enefe Dike Campaign Organization).  Hon. Onochie was said to have called Ogbuefi Chuma to register his disgust over a news report making the rounds that the only recognizable constituency project of the incumbent House Of Reps member representing Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency was his huge financial donations to APGA Oyi Chairman’s family house project.

Hon. Onochie was said to have perfected plans to harass, intimidate and humiliate Ogbuefi Harris Chuma whom he desperately accused of revealing his dirty romance with Hon. Onyenwife (member representing Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency). Hon Onochie was said to have become restive after Ogbuefi Chuma advised him to remain non partisan in the campaign activities of aspirants but he chose to be Hon Gabriel Onyenwife’s contact and mobilization officer.

It was reported that through a phone call to Ogbuefi Chuma, the embittered APGA Oyi Chairman, Hon. Onochie, also known as Hon. Taker, threatened to ‘deal brutally’ with Chuma. According to a recorded phone conversation available on demand,  Hon. Onochie promised to get at Chuma ‘his own way’.  He berated Chuma for supporting and promoting Ekene Enefe to unseat the incumbent House Of Reps member – Hon Gabriel Onyenwife.  The APGA Oyi  LG boss, also allegedly called Ogbuefi Chuma ‘brainless’ and vowed to ‘deal’ with him ruthlessly.

Few days ago, at Anaku in Ayamelum LGA Secretariat, where the wife of the Governor – Chief Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano, who has been on local government tour with her NGO visited, it was alleged that suspected supporters of the lawmaker – Hon Onyenwife,  made their way to Hon Ekene Enefe’s car and unlocked the screws hosting the tyres and wheels in a deadly move to cause fatal road accident preconceived to kill the strongest House Of Reps contender in the zone, Hon Ekene Enefe. On his way back to Awka, Hon Enefe’s car tyre pulled out, the vehicle lost absolute control and ended up in the bush. But thanks to God no lives were lost.

Hon Enefe and his team are therefore making an open appeal to APGA leaders at all levels to call Hon. Gabriel Onyenwife and his troublesome supporters to order while calling on the security agencies especially in Anambra State to wade in and arrest the ugly developments in Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency.

Ogbuefi Harris Chuma in release made available to newsmen in Awka, Anambra State said,

“Enefe Dike and his Campaign Team are peace loving and law abiding individuals who are civil in their approach to election matters.  We are non violent and will not engage in any act capable of causing a breakdown of law and order even in the face of provocation. Therefore, let it be known and established that Enefe Campaign Team has been profoundly issues oriented, mobilizing and galvanising massive support for our choice candidate. Evidently, we have overtime demonstrated high level of political maturity in the way and manner we go about our media activities. Caution should be advanced herein, that no amount of harassment, intimidation, smear campaign, and blackmail will deter us from the reloaded Nzoputa mission to successfully project Ekene Enefe’s loads of goodies which we have brought to fore in the race for Oyi/Ayamelum Federal House of Reps contest. Unequivocally, we firmly believe that the good people of Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency who have applauded our valid manifesto, and understood how significant and relevant our roles had been in opening their eyes on some dirty truth behind their travails in the hands of the incumbent representative, will do the needful at the appointed time. Obviously, Ekenem Enefe will change the ugly narrative for the greater good of all.”
