President Tinubu, who attended the forum of West African leaders for the first time at the 63rd Ordinary Session, was announced as Chairman of Authority of the Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) on Sunday in Bissau, the capital of Guinea-Bissau.

In a Congratulatory message to the President on his new appointment, Hon. Kasunmu said:
“Dear Sir, the news of your election as the Chairman of Authority of the Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS earlier today elicits extreme excitement and gladness among all and sundry, near and far in Nigeria and beyond”.

“This historic feat did not come as a surprise, because ever since your inauguration as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, you have demonstrated beyond any reasonable doubt that Nigerians made the right choice by electing you as our President. Your performances and decisions have been top notch, excellent and patrotic.
We are therefore delighted that, our West African neighbours have decided to tap into your wealth of wisdom so as to benefit from your exemplary leadership acumen.”

“As you take over the mantle of leadership to direct the affairs of ECOWAS, the good people of Ikeja Constituency 2 and my humble self as well as the Mogaji, Tinubu and Kasunmu families of Lagos, congratulate you warmly and wish you the best in your new role as father and leader of  the entire West Africa.
Congratulations, once again, may God grant you maximum success in your new assignment” Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu concluded.
