Following the alleged recognition of the Hon. Daniel Nwafor led executive of the APC in Imo State by the National Secretary of the party in the person of Senator Iyiola Omisore, an action that from all democratic fronts can be deemed as unilateral, undemocratic and mischievous, the APC SouthEast under the National Vice Chairman APC SouthEast, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, has come out to describe the action as unconstitutional insisting that the Macdonald Eberechukwu State Working Committee (SWC)remains the only recognised SWC of the party in Imo State.
In a statement put out by the SouthEast APC Directorate of Media and accompanied by a letter from the office of the National Vice Chairman to McDonald Ebere, Arodiogbu described the letter from Omisore as a unilateral action which was not raised during any National Working Committee (NWC) of the party and thus Omisore’s action was unconstitutional.
Arodiogbu in the letter further noted that such matters in consonance with the democratic traditions of the party ought to be brought to the attention of the National Chairman who would then seek advice and take a democratic approach to the matter. This never happened.
Lastly, Arodiogbu pointed out that even the Supreme Court judgement *claimed by the Nwafor faction was not a conclusive one and no directives were given in the line towed by the Omisore* and urged the Hon Eberechukwu to continue with his leadership of Imo APC.
