Hon. Macdonald Ebere Joins Gov. Uzodimma As St. Rose Of Lima Catholic Church, Omuma Is Dedicated To God

In a grand ceremony, Imo State Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, oversaw the dedication of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Omuma, Oru East LGA, the ancestral home of the Governor.
The event, which drew a diverse crowd of dignitaries and residents, marked the fulfillment of a promise made by the Governor to God and a heartfelt tribute to his late mother.
Catholic Bishops from various dioceses across the country, along with other religious leaders, government officials, political and traditional rulers, captains of industries, members of the national and state assembly, as well as military and paramilitary representatives, gathered to partake in the solemn ceremony. The occasion was also graced by members of the press, both indigenes and non-indigenes of the community.
The majestic church, a project initiated in 2013 by Governor Uzodimma, stood as a testament to the Governor’s commitment to faith and philanthropy.
Governor Uzodimma, addressing the assembly, revealed that the church’s construction was a loving tribute to his late mother, who had a deep passion for matters of faith and believed strongly in giving back to the community. He expressed a profound sense of fulfillment that his promise to God had now been fulfilled.
State Party Chairman of Imo APC, Hon. MacDonald Ebere, PhD, played a significant role in the ceremony, taking the first reading during the mass.
In a subsequent statement to the press, Hon. MacDonald commended the Governor’s exemplary display of love and community service. He predicted that the magnificent church edifice would endure the test of time and become a sanctuary where heartfelt prayers would be swiftly answered. He concluded by offering a heartfelt prayer for Governor Uzodimma, wishing him a larger heart to continue providing succour to the community and the entire state.
The dedication of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Omuma was not only a momentous religious event but also a testament to the power of faith, philanthropy, and community service. It brought together people from diverse backgrounds to celebrate a project that will undoubtedly serve as a place of spiritual solace and community unity for generations to come.
